Medical packaging is among the last frontiers for sustainability in packaging, due to stringent regulations and safety concerns that must be considered. But efforts are underway to shrink the footprint of medical packaging, thus reducing waste and enabling more efficient storage. Still, there are hurdles to overcome, including ensuring clear labeling and maintaining sterility when required. In this session, we’ll explore new strategies being used to make medical packaging more sustainable while at the same time maintaining patient safety.
