The Mayo Clinic Division of Engineering has purchased a 3D metal printer and is implementing it to make titanium prototypes and production parts of medical devices and laboratory instruments for use by Mayo Clinic doctors and researchers. 3D metal printing is being broadly adopted by the medical device industry and is an exciting opportunity to accelerate innovation and support individualized medicine.
